Karen J. Martinez Honored with 2007 Distinguished Citizen Award by the Patriots' Path Council, Boy Scouts of America
Bravo's President, Karen J. Martinez, was honored by the Patriots' Path Council, Boy Scouts of America as their 2007 Distinguished Citizen
Award. The award dinner took place at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset Park, NJ on May 17, 2007.
The evening was hosted by Event Chairman Neil Kurtz, Managing Director of Asset Services for CB Richard Ellis, who welcomed Ms. Martinez's family, friends, co-workers
and colleagues, as well as vendors and customers of Bravo! Building Services, who participated in the evening.
Scouting in 2007 in the Patriots' Path Council, Boy Scouts of America, will reach more than 20,000 youth in Northern and Central New Jersey. The Distinguished
Citizen Award Dinner raises the necessary funds for the Patriots' Path Council "At Risk" program that sends underprivileged youth to four camps: Mt. Allamuchy Scout
Reservation in scenic Stanhope; Watchung Reservation Day Camp in a beautiful Union County park; Winnebago Scout Camp in the hills of Rockaway Township; and Sabattis
Adventure Camp located in the breathtaking Adirondacks of Long Lake, New York.
The Patriots' Path Council continues to send inner city Scouts to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. With a camp budget of over one million dollars, the Council
traditionally has over 5,000 youth attending summer camp. The Council incurs all expenses for these facilities, programs and Scouts to operate in a traditional way,
providing a lasting and beneficial summer camp experience.
